Overview
This special 1.5 hour group session for Craniosacral Therapists working with Biodynamic principles is intended to provide a supportive field for enquiry in relation to your practice. As in supervision, you can bring specific questions about or challenges you encounter in your work with clients. Questions you have about Biodynamic concepts and practices are also welcome for discussion and clarification. We can also engage in guided meditative explorations of tidal phenomena and other Biodynamic perceptual experiences. Topics for enquiry and discussion may include not only specifically Biodynamic concepts but also how to meet trauma and history arising in session work for client and/or practitioner, how to recognise and work with prenatal and birth patterning presenting in your work, and how to take care of yourself as practitioner so as to thrive as you practice.
The group is open to you if you are a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist who has recently graduated or have had years of experience or anywhere in between. Once you have registered you are welcome to submit questions or topics ahead of time by email or to ask them during the meeting.
Cherionna Menzam-Sills, PhD, RCST, BCST, ISMETA RSMT/E, is your host for this group enquiry gathering. She has been a Craniosacral Therapist for almost 30 years, a therapist for over 40 years, has authored the book The Breath of Life: An Introduction to Craniosacral Biodynamics, and has been teaching Biodynamics trainings and post-graduate seminars globally for almost 15 years, often with her husband, Biodynamics pioneer Franklyn Sills. She has also taught and practiced as a pre- and perinatal therapist at the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, Naropa University, and Karuna Institute, where she is also senior tutor in Biodynamics. She incorporates into her teaching and supervision somatic practices developed through her years as a somatic/body-centered psychotherapist and Continuum Flow teacher.
Cherionna loves doing supervision for individuals and groups, usually specialising in prenatal and birth-related topics. She finds that in supervision groups, what is presented or explored by one person deeply touches and supports everyone present, which is also what she facilitates and intends.
If you are a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist and are drawn to learning more or clarifying your understanding or perception of this beautiful, profound, subtle work, or if you are hungry for support or companionship in your journey, please join us.This group is back by popular demand from those who have attended previously and usually is available every other month.
