Embodying Biodynamics through Continuum

When I first began teaching Continuum, my first classes were influenced by the overlaps I perceived between Continuum and Craniosacral Biodynamics. Now, I return to this theme in honour of the beautiful, sensitive work developed by my beloved husband, the late Franklyn Sills, who passed away in August.

Biodynamics differs from many forms of healing and bodywork by it orientation to subtle energetic forces underlying our form and symptoms, rather than focusing in on trying to fix anything. Biodynamics recognises a profound intelligence guiding our development as embryos and throughout life. Emilie Conrad, who founded Continuum, spoke of “bio-intelligence.”

In both practices, we perceive the effects of subtle fluid and energetic motion, often reflecting our embryonic formation. We experience dissolving old patterns as we slow down and settle into our inherent fluidity and spaciousness. Deep healing usually results.
