Overview
“I say all form is temporal. Form is designed to dissolve and reconstitute in a perpetual act of renewal. Form is movement that has become relatively stabilized for a given period of time in order to function efficiently in a specific environment. Whether this form is a marriage or a body or a career, the cycle of dissolution and resolution represents the health of any situation. Stasis and redundancy create barriers to the life-giving forces that are no longer able to communicate with us due to our various entrancements.”
-Emilie Conrad, founder of Continuum
Spring is a time of re-birth. Where we have become solidly entrenched in our habits and patterns, it becomes difficult to embrace what is new. Our tissues, our nervous system, our mind, our behaviour, and our movement seek to repeat what is familiar, what feels stable. For true health to flourish, we need to be able to dissolve these patterns and enter into the unknown, where aliveness awaits.
This three-hour class engages us in the breaths, sounding, and mindful movement of Continuum to help us to slow down, melt, and re-form. We arise refreshed in our new form, ready for what life will present next.
