There is so much discussion these days about the importance of the microbiome and gut health as a foundation for health and well-being. Did you know that the health and microbial populations of your gut actually trace back to early development of the embryo? In the fourth week after conception, the little embryo goes through a major transformation, from being a relatively flat elongated disc, folding into a more three-dimensional body complete with functional heart, a neural tube and gut tube open to the yolk sac and what will become the umbilical cord. From this initial gut tube sprout most of our digestive system and organs, even including our lungs.
Continuum is a gentle mindful movement practice originally developed by Emilie Conrad. It involves specific breaths, sounding into our tissues, movement and subtle awareness which we use to slow down, dissolve old patterning, habits and density, and return to our original embryonic fluid potential.
This 3-hour webinar includes a brief presentation of slides of how the gut develops followed by learning and practising a sequence of Continuum breaths, sounds and movements to awaken, nourish and support your gut.
