“As embryos, we are primarily a membranous sac filled with fluid, reminiscent of the cell and its oceanic primordial mother.”
-Emilie Conrad
In the second week after conception, the embryo is suspended between two sacs: the yolk sac and the amniotic sac. The yolk sac is a source of nourishment we create and carry with us as an embryo. It can be considered a precursor to the digestive system, and helps us to ground. The amniotic sac is also nutritive and resembles Cerebrospinal fluid, considered the purist fluid in our bodies. Delivering guidance to developing tissues, it can resonate with Cosmos, spirit, the non-physical, depending on your beliefs.
In these times today when we are so extremely out of balance and generally lacking healthy relationship with both Earth and Cosmos, returning to the how the embryo develops within layers of fluidic support from the sacs can be remarkably helpful.
In this 3-hour online Continuum class, Cherionna will introduce you to how the embryo, including its important sacs, develop and guide you in meeting them somatically with the gentle, mindful sounds, breaths, and movement of Continuum.
